Jon discovered his love for circus as a teenager when he attended Circus Monoxide. He quickly began training and teaching daily, putting his engineering degree on hold when he was accepted into NICA. At NICA, Jon specialised in partner acrobatics, hoop diving, and Russian bar.
After graduating in 2011, Jon performed around the world, including aboard P&O Cruise ships, as a specialised circus artist for Opera Australia. He toured with companies like Solid State Circus and Long Answers to Simple Questions. He also had multiple self-produced seasons with Affinity Circus. It was with Affinity Circus that Jon developed a deep passion for group acrobatics, a focus that has shaped much of his work since.
In 2017, Jon became part of PARADE, a resident show at the Chamaeleon Theatre in Berlin, performing over 170 shows in 6 months.
Upon returning to Australia, Jon joined the re-launch of the show Barbaroi, which won Best Circus at the Adelaide Fringe in 2021.
In 2012, Jon had to create his own hoop diving stack, and from that point, he became passionate about designing and creating various circus props. Jon creates custom and brand-new circus equipment and has worked extensively with integrating LED technology into creating custom circus equipment.
