Lauren’s performance career began in rhythmic gymnastics in Australia, where she graced the podium at several Australian Championships.
Eager to push her boundaries, Lauren ventured into the world of circus and cabaret, embracing a variety of disciplines including aerial hoop and hammock, hula hoops, adagio, and cabaret acts. She combined dance, circus, and rhythmic gymnastics into her performances.
Lauren entered the cabaret scene in Melbourne before embarking on an international tour with Stage Entertainment and 20th Century Fox in an ice production, where she met her partner, straps artist Bray Buenrostro.
Lauren has performed on the stages of Circus Ohlala in Switzerland and in the vibrant theatres of Germany. Closer to home, she has performed in many iconic Australian venues like Dracula’s Cabaret.
Beyond the spotlight, Lauren is a qualified Exercise and Sports Scientist, holding a Master's degree from Deakin University. She has worked with professional athletes across various sporting disciplines, from the Richmond Football Club to Tennis Australia, as the founder of Limber Sports Performance.
Lauren is a leader in her field, specialising in flexibility development and injury prevention. She has also taught numerous sports science subjects at Deakin University.
Today, Lauren brings her multifaceted expertise to the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA), passing on her knowledge gained from years of training with esteemed coaches, including Arturo Gomez from NICA’s original coaching team.
