Staff Bio

Mireille (Mimi) Goyette  was born in Quebec and excelled in gymnastics from a young age, contributing to the Quebec team’s silver medal at the Canadian Championships in 1997.

While she was a talented gymnast, Mimi’s heart belonged to the magic of Cirque du Soleil. At 17, she joined Cirque du Soleil, where she performed in Quidam for 10 years as a house troupe corde lisse and skipping rope artist, portraying the character Bunny.

In 2001, Mimi had the honor of performing for Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family. The following year, she performed at the Academy Awards (Oscars).

Between contracts, Mimi took straps lessons with Mr. Lu at NICA, paving the way for more female straps students.

Mimi later transitioned to Ninja Warrior, even testing courses for Australian Ninja Warrior. In 2023, she became the Ninja Australian Female Masters Champion.

She also competed at the 2023 World Championships, where she podiumed in three events, bringing home one gold and two silver medals.

Mimi holds a Circus Teacher Diploma from ENC and a Diploma in Studio and Rehab Pilates and works as a circus trainer, here at NICA.
