Artist Bio
Elliee is a magical mixture of aerials and storytelling. Her almost 20-years’ experience training as a dancer and aerialist have allowed her to develop a wonderfully weird and bespoke fusion of theatre and circus to tell stories that never fail in capturing the hearts of audiences. Now an industry-ready, working artist, Elliee continues to astound with her specialised talents across Aerial Silks (Tissu), Aerial Hoop (Lyra), Hula Hoops on Pointe, and Group/Ensemble Juggling.
From humble beginnings as a small-town kid from the country town of Bathurst, Elliee made her debut into dance at the age of four and discovered circus in high school. After exhausting the knowledge of the trainers in her hometown, she made the move to Sydney to continue developing her skills at Aerialize, before moving to Melbourne to take on both a Certificate IV and Bachelors’ degree in Circus Arts from the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in 2018.
What really makes Elliee stand out is her ability to tell a story through the power of movement, blending the art of theatre with dance and aerial. This rarefied talent has been seen during her stints in various elite productions, such as Orpheus & Eurydice by the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney, where she was cast in one of the leading roles as the fabled Persephone. She continues to be the artist of choice for elite corporate clients such as Crown Casino, and has toured nationally with the Traditional circus Ashton’s and been part of community-focused events and showcases such as Curbside Carnies throughout NSW and VIC. In 2019 she debuted her solo program A Broken Smile – a theatre-meets-circus show exploring life as a modern woman.
