Artist Bio
Alanah is a powerhouse of performance with almost 20 years stage experience under her belt. Starting dance at the tender age of 4 on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, she quickly realised that this was not just a fun after school activity and intended to make it her career. Her extensive background includes many styles of dance from ballet to contemporary, jazz to hip-hop and tap, competing nationally until her late teens. She utilises this training from her youth to elevate her circus skills and create acts that are not only packed full of incredible skills but also simply beautiful to watch.
With a brief bout of training at Ecole Nationale De Cirque (ENC), she then moved to Melbourne to complete her Certificate IV and then Bachelor degree in Circus Arts where she specialised in Hula Hoops, Aerial Hoop and Group Acrobatics.
Alanah strives to create big and expansive work, often choosing to collaborate with other artforms and mediums to enhance her acts. She has been a performer in After Dark Theatre’s show Barbaroi which featured at Adelaide Fringe 2023 and has performed at events such as the Australian Open, Melbourne Fringe Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She has also been part of Marawa’s Majorettes and performed alongside Melbourne Follies in Cabaret Down Under.
