Combining the technical marvel of gymnastics with the creative lure of circus, Jane is and exquisite cocktail of Aerial and Sideshow artistry. Approaching 20-years’ experience as a trained professional, Jane’s multi-disciplinary talents traverse the dazzling realms of Hula Hoops, Tissu, Trapeze, Ensemble Pass Juggling, and Acrobatics.
Though she specialises in these areas, she is also in possession of an entirely unusual suite of additional skills including Ensemble Rope Skipping (a.k.a Double Dutch), Fire Juggling, Fire Fans and Hula Hoops, Rollerskating, Whip Cracking, Waking Globe and Plate Spinning. Blessed with physical talents and the “gift of the gab”, Jane is also a confident Emcee and Host, and a more than proficient Bassist, Guitarist and back-up vocalist.
A trained gymnast from an early age, Jane was born-and-raised in Canberra, where she was quickly introduced to performing in local community productions before taking on larger castings with large-scale production tours and corporate work.
You may recognise her from her gracing the stages both nationally and internationally for leading companies such as Circus Oz, Highwire Entertainment's Rebel the Show, Papillion, Petit Circus (in which she performed and directed), Circus the Show, LEFT, and Pacific Cirque. She continues to be the performer-of-choice for an elite set of high-end, large scale corporate clients at venues such as the MCEC (Plenary), Melbourne’s Crown Casino, Sydney’s Regent Theatre, Meat Market, Marvel Stadium and the MCG.
Beyond her unfathomable merits as a performance artist, Jane is also passionate about bolstering the next generation of Australian cirque talent, having served a four-year tenor as Head Coach for Warehouse Circus, as well as lending her expertise to advising production companies on choreography, technical skill, and solo/ensemble act development across Skipping, Juggling, Aerial and more.
