Martine Howard was born in Melbourne and began her career as an aerialist after participating in the National Institute of Circus Arts' pilot project in 1999.
She then moved to Montreal, where she trained in swinging trapeze with André Simard of Cirque du Soleil. Martine deepened her skills in swinging trapeze and Cloudswing under the guidance of world-renowned aerial trainer Victor Fomine.
Since then, Martine has performed on various aerial apparatus and skipping ropes with Cirque du Soleil. She has also performed as an aerialist and acrobat with cabarets and renowned circus productions across Europe.
Other performance highlights include festivals, corporate events, and a role in a big, sparkly Hollywood film. Martine completed her Master of Social Work and is currently working towards her accreditation in Clinical Pilates.
Martine remains deeply passionate about circus as one of the most innovative and exciting performing arts. She is committed to its evolution and believes institutions like NICA play a crucial role in shaping the future of Circus.
