Zaelea was introduced to circus at the age of six when she started taking classes at Zirkus Zarakali in Frankfurt, Germany. It was there she found her love for trapeze, later prompting her to take on additional training at Variete Voila.
In 2020, Zaelea moved to Torino, Italy to train at Scuola Circo FLIC where she specialised in static trapeze. To continue her education she relocated to Melbourne, Australia to complete her bachelor’s degree, specialising in static trapeze, tight wire and group Chinese pole.
In her work, she combines striking visuals with unusual movement to create acts that leave a lasting impression. When not in the training space she can be found riding her yellow bike or in front of her sewing machine.
Zaelea graduated NICA in 2024.
